Supporting YOUR Pregnancy, Birth, and Postpartum with Care the Way YOU Envision
At Your Birth Your Way, I believe in supporting women to take control of their pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journeys. I am committed to compassionate, woman-centered, non-paternalistic care in which both the midwife and mother are actively engaged in the decision-making process. As a dedicated midwife who has experienced the beauty of homebirth myself, I strive to provide personalized care tailored to your unique needs and desires.

My comprehensive pregnancy care includes prenatal visits, emotional support, and education to prepare you for physiologic childbirth. I believe in empowering women through knowledge and respect on their pregnancy journeys. The framework for this holistic type of care is based on evidence-based, skilled, attentive support, establishing a caring and respectful atmosphere in which education and informed consent are basic expectations that allow the mother to feel empowered to make her own decisions regarding her body and her baby.
During labor and birth, I maintain a non-interventive approach, remaining hands-off unless a family or mother physically or emotionally desires or needs any kind of support or encouragement. I remain vigilant and attentive to the health of mother and baby as I strive to respect and protect her autonomy. I support freedom of movement and position changes, as well as her freedom to eat and drink in labor. I practice no forced, invasive exams or interventions. There are no time limits on normal labor and birth. I provide respectful, individualized one on one care, and I trust in the mother and her body’s innate ability to birth naturally. I facilitate an environment that promotes early bonding and involvement of the entire family unit, establishment of a healthy breastfeeding relationship if the mother so desires, and a peaceful, private environment, free of disruption and distraction.

After your baby arrives, my postpartum services, until a minimum of 6 weeks postpartum, ensure you receive the support you need to recover and bond with your newborn. I provide guidance on breastfeeding, newborn care and monitoring, and emotional well-being, focusing on you and baby as a dyad. You have been connected as "one" all of these months leading to birth, and I strive to maintain that dyad connection. It is also my desire to be very intentional about including and supporting the entire family unit during this transformative time.
